So if I was to sell the Evo..

What's with all the 'only had it for two minutes' comments? Not very useful. I want to try as many sports cars as I can before I get all boring and buy a house sometime within 24 months. I do like the Evo and nothing is wrong with it. List window shopping if you like. Hell its currently having £700 spent on it.

fair duse....

£14k Hooligan. E46 M3, VXR8 LS3

Think i would have to go with the VXR8 out of the 2 though as to many E46's have got into the wrong hands. Also a lot rarer than pretty much any silly fast car on the road.

I was going to suggest a B8 S4 with an MRC stage 1.

That should take you well into a horse power figure starting with a 4 and should give you less hassle and running costs than an RS4.

Unfortunately a quick search yields the cheapest at £17k.

Anything from Merc take your fancy?

Nothing wrong with that, that's my plan, sell the 911 in a year or so and use as house deposit as I'll still have an M3 and Jaaaaag. Or be stupid and buy another daft car. :D

Problem with an EVO is they make driving fast too easy, though they are very and certainly more involving that Scoobs and AWD Audi's.

At 14-16k forget a 911, it will be old and cost a lot to run. But consider a Cayman yes down on power but the handling will keep you entertained as the chassis is one of the best, not bad on running cost, thorough inspection pre-purchase is critical.

M3 is not a bad idea, 10-12k would get you a sorted 2004ish model with sorted suspension and the right mods, get it too a track.

Or you fancy a truck load of power and noise, et an old AMG Merc. :D

Why do you need something boring when you get a house ?

Because most of my spare cash will go towards it. Then wait 6-12 months and see what pans out.

Gibbo I have thought about a Boxster S and Cayman S. Think I need to drove both and see what they're like. Some mental AMG is also appealing.

Cayman is better than Boxster, its marginal but noticeable, both are however superb.
