actually, they do. Just in the case of people being gay and choosing to have gay relationships there doesn't have to be a victim, they're just consenting adults who want a bum, why is this so hard to grasp. Paedophilia on the other hand by definition involves abuse of a child. If you don't like that, why don't you move to Iran where it's the other way round?

It may be that paedophilia is another natural pre-disposition - but they are not comparable due to the fact that homosexual relationships cause no more objective harm than heterosexual ones, unlike paedophilia which is the desire or arousal towards children which if acted upon infringes on the rights of another (due to the fact children can't give consent).

I seem to have a predisposition to tall brunettes - another man may have a natural predisposition to torture or murder (psychopath/socio-path), they are not comparable simply due to the fact they are natural.

Everything is natural if you get down to it, just some things are damaging or harmful & others innocuous.
 
Ahhh Humans arguing over who's "opinion" is right and who's "opinion" is wrong.....then brining up "facts" or "science" to try and back up their opinions...which by its vary nature is impossible.

Its a bit like trying to argue over whether marmite is nice or not.....and trying to force your personal opinion on others.

The simple fact of the matter is some people dont mind Homosexuality and some arent comfortable with it.....that's just the way it is and they have formed those opinons over a period of time for various reasons and no-one has the right to say they are wrong.

Bullying or hurting another human being has nothing to do with it, as thats wrong regardless of sexuality and thats a fact or at least a fact in the eyes of the law of sociecty.

There is a fine line between having an opinion and then acting negatively on it......I personally cant stand a camp persona.....I would never say anything horrible or bully someone of that nature....but I dont like to be round people who are overtly camp....does that make me wrong? no....its my personal opinion and preference.

All very true, well mostly at least, I can't comment on you and brunettes ;)

However, I do believe that it illustrates the point that we all have the potential not to indulge our particular urges, harmful or not.

I think that as a number of people have pointed out, few people really care what two consenting adults get up to in private so long as they are both happy people; they are less happy when it impacts on them, either as a result of an unwanted approach or when they set out to make an exhibition of themselves.

Needless to say, ANY sexual activity at all involving either children or where consent is not given should be prosecuted with the full vigour of the law.

It's just that some of them lie about it for political reasons when confronted about it, which is nothing unusual for people who follow a group pride ideology and who have some political sense.

Which is exactly what you're doing now. A baseless statement that words don't mean what they mean even when that meaning accurately describes something is a very poor lie though. Surely you can make up a less ridiculous lie if you put a bit of thought into it.

Yes you are. You're even allowed to say so. Of course, other people are free to deride you for doing so.

There are some forms of the discrimination you refer to, but not in the way you state. For example, refusing admission to people solely because they're heterosexual is allowed, whereas refusing admission to people solely because they're homosexual isn't. Sacking someone for expressing any negative opinions of homosexual people is allowed, but sacking someone for expressing any negative opinions of heterosexual people isn't. Etc, etc. You have something of a point, but you're over-stating it.

Someone can think 2+2=5 and shouldn't be confronted because hey, it's just their opinion!

Someone can think black people are inferior to whites and should be slaves, but shouldn't be aggressively confronted because, its just their opinion!

They stopped a 15 year old boy getting 'done' by an old man for money?

OK they could go about things a different way, but imagine if that was your son... it could well be for some on here.... would you want your son groomed on the net and yes it is grooming being offered 500 quid or whatever for sex with an old man.

No...your putting words into my mouth...

Couple of points....2+2=5 cant be an opinion, as that would be a wrong statement of fact....that isnt an opinion....an opinion is a judgment, viewpoint, or statement about matters commonly considered to be subjective.

The point is that I was making...is people are entitled to their own opinions......you also cant change a persons opinion by trying to force yours on them.

What people are NOT entitled to, is act out on those opinions...especially if it affects other people.

Its a bit like a girl walking through the door.......you in your head think "wow, she is ugly".....you never say anything, but thats your opinion....and you mention it to me.....and then me getting annoyed at you for having that viewpoint as I think she is good looking.

Had you gone up to her and called her ugly....that would be different.
