o2 Boost Box - A query

Hi there,

My dad has recently had his work phone upgraded from an iPhone 4 to an iPhone 5 where both of which are on the o2 network. He has an o2 boost box for the house which was working perfectly on his iPhone 4. He has had his number transferred to the new phone and the company who deals with his telecommunications has assured him that they have asked o2 to 'reprogram' the boost box for the new phone but it doesn't appear to be working.

I was wondering if anyone knew whether the boost box uses something like the IMEI number instead of just the mobile number to secure the mobile network it transmits?

He is going mad with the telecomms company so I was wondering if anyone could pass on some info which I could use to point the company in the right direction to get this fixed asap for my dad.

Thanks in advance and let me know if you need any other info :)

They are expensive but its made a huge difference to my dad as his phone barely got on the network before! Plus his work pays for it so he doesn't mind :)

Yup, when O2 put the number on, it queries the IMEI at the time and put's that on too. He'll just need O2 to update the list - He can start to look at TU-GO from O2 too

Sounds like he is a business customer so TU Go is a No Go at the moment, it's only for postpay consumer customers.
