1920 x 1080 on 120hz monitor which card today only

Is it worth going from a 570 to one of the today only deals and will 4GB make a difference at this resolution?

Or jump the cost up to a 770?

i have a 2gb (x2) 690 and never has it been memory starved. only under exceptional circumstances will it be.

and almost never at 1080p, infact thats why i just bought the 2gb 670 on todays special for 1080p gaming on my backup pc.

save the cash imo.

but it is about a 40% or so power increase, you will notice that. (and it uses less juice and is quieter) than the 570, i think the 670 would be a decent upgrade

Rather than getting a GTX770 at £330+, you'd be much better off getting a pair of the Asus GTX670 that's currently on today only deal for £190 to SLI.

For just £380, you will get FAR better performance than the GTX770, which you really need for pushing the 120fps- provided that your case, PSU and motherboard can handle SLI GTX670 no problem.

Another thing is for pushing 120fps, you'd need to overclock your CPU to as high as it can to not be the bottleneck. I hope you got a Intel i5/i7 CPU...cause AMD CPUs are hopelessly behind when it comes to pushing toward 120fps.

Mate an 670 at over 1100Mhz is just about on par with a 680, therefore it's up there with a 770 as well as the 770 is a slightly clocked 680. Buy a 670 and overclock, it's best bang for buck.

Forget 4GB at 1080p.

Of course, but 2x670's are gona cost less than £400. 2x770 is gona cost nearly £700. That is a massive amount more expensive for not a huge jump in performance.

Actually for the current games, for single card their performance are identical...and the difference will not be noticeable until may be SLIing 3 of the 680 together and running at higher than 1920 res.
