Xbox One controller expected to be PC-compatible in 2014, says Microsoft

Sorry, I did not clarify my post very well.

I was refering to the delay for drivers when the chances of the community making drivers way before this date are very likely.

How about improved sticks, d-pad, triggers and deadzones?

Much like how having a 10,000 DPI mouse makes everyone a better PC gamer?

None of the changes they babble about in that video (most of which I imagine are incredibly overblown), will not in any way effect someone's ability to play games better than they can with a 360 controller.

Don't get me wrong I'm sure it will be a better controller than the 360 overall, however it won't actually change how, or how well, you can play your games.

Where did I say anything about it making you a better gamer  I simply said it had improvements over the 360 controller (which you've then gone on to agree with so you seem to be arguing against me....for the same point?)

What would be so useful about a controller over the 360 one?

Well there are quite a few improvements

Lower power consumption and a better rumble pack does not = better ability to play PC games with a controller.

Why not?

How about improved sticks, d-pad, triggers and deadzones?

Don't be obtuse, my "better gamer" line was obviously sarcastic. My entire point is any improvement they make won't make it better for gaming than a 360 controller. You seem to think otherwise, going by your responses to such comments.

I really haven't got a clue what point you're trying to make, an improved controller won't be any better to use? That makes no sense. Are you saying the 360 controller is perfect? (Hint, it isn't)

Luckily the manufacturers don't agree or we'd all still be using a NES controller...

If it has a better D-Pad and isn't a silly price i'd probably buy one. The current D-Pad can get a bit frustrating in games like Mortal Kombat.

MS also anounced Kinect is no longer required for Xbox 1 as they know that's not popular forcing it to be enabled & always on.

Still would not buy/use XB1 though MS can keep it even if it were free the games will be similar to PC games know just slightly less detail overall & laggy FPS
