Hello, i need to know everything, anything you know, or maybe you have some links. Me and my husband, we currently work in uk, but i would love to move to Spain in few years, any tips will help, any info. How is work situation? Where is best to move? We don't want to live in tourist popular places, cheaper rent would be nice, and better job possibilities.how to find work? How to start everything, how to prepare? We would love to live somewhere near the ocean. Any advice? Is it much harder to move with infant, lets say during maternity?

Spain...avoid.

The red tape is ridiculous
No jobs
Too many English
Can't drive for ****
Too hot
Nothing is ever open as they're either eating or sleeping

Just NO!

Only place I'd move in Spain is Ibiza, only for the summer though and would have to be a villa in the hills away from San Anchavio

Rental prices wont be a problem if you have a job.

You probably won't have a job.

:D

TBH a mate of mine moved to Marbella, he's doing very well for himself. He did take money with him though, and I don't think the taxman has caught up with him yet...;)

Strong first post

You could move there but you would need to speak fluent Spanish in advance to properly integrate. When I lived there there were far too many Brit morons coming over who had just watched a place in the sun on tv and moved there and wondered why they struggled to get involved in life there.

Learn Spanish properly first then think about moving.

Job situation there is dire though unless you have some skills which are in demand. What do you do at the moment?
