GTX550 Ti or GT640? [SOLVED]

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and soon I'll be building my own gaming PC. Anyway, I have two GPUs in mind but I'm not sure which one to go with:

GeForce GTX550 Ti 1GB

http://www.geforce.co.uk/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-550ti/specifications

Nvidia GT640 2GB GDDR5

www.geforce.co.uk/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gt640/specifications

Specs wise, feature wise, and benchmark wise, the 550 is clearly better especially with SLI support, however the 640 has more CUDA cores, more memory, and it's a newer series of card. It's these factors that are giving me some trouble deciding.

Anyway, if someone could help me out, it would be appreciated. Thanks a lot :)

I would suggest getting the GTX550 as it does perform better as a single GPU.

After lots more research, I found the AMD Radeon HD 7770 so I'll probably get that instead :p

It scores over 2000 in benchmarks, and it supports 2 way crossfire. The XFX Ghost version also looks really nice, and it goes well with my planned system :D

For around £80, it's too good to miss!
