Imagine you were a spacefaring race and you wanted to colonize a planet, imagine creating a machine that would prepare the planet for your arrival. A gigantic machine that would build roads, buildings, sewers, power and everything ready for your people to come down and live... it would be a massive achievement...

Imagine instead you dropped off a few dozen humans and left them to their own devices. They would get to multiplying and building... A few thousand years and your planet is cooked and ready with everything you need, zero effort.

Food for thought?

Or are we talking a few crumbs that turn into mould and then found this civilisation....

Imagine how completely ****ed off you'd be after going to all that trouble if you returned 100,000 Years later and landed in Stoke.

Deep... but wouldn't it be far more efficent for a machine to build something that was optimised and efficent rather than the mess humans seem to create :D (or maybe this race likes living in a mess).

LV-426, has already been colonized by "terraformers" for 30 years, who are creating an atmosphere to make the air breathable and the planetoid habitable.

Are we expecting guests soon then? :p

They would probably start wars with each other.

Watch hit movie 'oblivion' starring acclaimed actor 'tom cruise'.

That would be a more sensible approach, in reality you would just farm all the resources up to a bad ass luxury mother ship for consumption. Far more efficient.

But how much would this spacefaring race have developed and evolved in the time that they have left us building out of date rubbish....

Would it have warcraft like interface? Could you select any of the dozen men from the orbit and after they all replied "Uh?", "Daboo", "Your command master" and "Who do you wanna me kill?" send them to explore the map, chop some wood or go and magically rise a little hut with cornfield out of pure dirt with a small progress bar on the top? ;)

Are you sure that's not an 80s pop band fronted by bass player Mark King??

You're thinking of Ceti Alpha V?

re: the Oblivion comment, that is in the first five minutes, so wouldn't really categorise it as spoiler, however I am hyper careful with spoilers so probably worth
