in fairness to corsair besodes the postage they were quick to get the rma turned around. Rec'd a completely new albeit slightly different model number and now coverex for another 5 years. Comp is now running again

I'm happy to hear that the OP's issue has been sorted out. Just keep in mind guys, if you are faced with an issue similar to this, where shipping fee is going to be burden, there is no need to worry. Our customer service will try their best to work it out for you in terms of shipping arrangement - You just have to present your case and explain the situation to them and I am pretty confident that they find a way to help you guys out as much as they can.

Are you sure you have a further 5 years of warranty. I would have thought the warranty period would be the remainder of the original warranty period.

Only read OP, I had to RMA a Corsair PSU, Post office wanted £40-£50 for posting so I complained to Corsair.

They arranged UPS to collect it two days later for free.

Typically, RMA process are new replacement.

I used to dealt with my RAM RMA with the Corsiar. They just place a brand new one. The only thing bad was, i had to post it to the Netherland and two weeks time no computer

There is always an option where you can request for an Express RMA, where we can always send out the replacement first to avoid downtime.
