Am I the only one wondering why these girl smugglers are National News?

Think the black haired Doris is the Irish one.
I'm only saying that though as the other one didn't sound or look Irish. :p
 
plus it's august, everyone is on holiday and no one is interested in proper news. Just be thankful there have been no cats stuck up trees or other such animal antics to make the headlines!

Anyways the whole ' I was forced to do it' is BS. Why were they going to Peru from Ibiza in the first place? Seems to me they were likely offered a big stack of money to bring some luggage back from there and they agreed to do it so they could pay for the rest of the season out in Ibiza. No sympathy what so ever.

First thought was: Forced, yeah right, how much cash were you offered?
Second thought: There's no ******* way that Scottish one is 19, she looks at least 40 without make-up on.
 
They clearly aren't new to the drug scene having worked in Ibiza ;) my initial gut feeling is that they were offered money to do it and that would enable them to live a good summer in Ibiza without working. Then post 1000 pictures on Facebook of their fantastic lives. Unlucky, the next 6.5 years is going to be fun :) no sympathy. They certainly arnt naive working in a place like that

I'd put that down to poor quality video and photos of a girl who has likely barely slept for a week and is sick with worry. That would make even the prettiest person look terrible.

Aside from their gender and status making them more headline worthy, I don't really see why there are so many comments about how they look.

That's the way they do it. My niece is a cop in the US and this is how it's done there.
 
This should be 'News' only in the sense that the headline would be: Mickey Mouse Impersonator in Drugs Bust.
 
Same **** as usual, a couple of desparate Brits get caught drug smuggling and the UK government/media make them out to be the victims.
