Hi All,

Think I have just made a boo boo with this graphics card choice as I see it as no dvi output, only hdmi and mini hdmi.

Will I be able to get 120hz through hdmi on this graphic card for my monitor or do I need to return and swap for a different model with DVI?

Thanks for any help/advice in advance,
S

Dammit :-(

There is a display port on the card I see but I guess that won't do either?

depending on the display port type. if it is 1.2 it will support 120Hz
is this your card? http://www.kfa2.com/GTX680.shtml
otherwise place a link to your card or look youreslf on google to see if 1.2 is supported on your card

if yes, it has 1.2 so it will support 120hz
NVIDIA GPU Boost

« NVIDIA Surround

« 1x dual-link DVI,1x DVI-D, HDMI and DisplayPort 1.2

This is the card I ordered from OCUK today - http://www.kfa2.com/GTX680LTDOCv4.shtml

I can't figure out if I can get a cable like this ( StarTech.com DisplayPort to DVI Active Adapter - DVI-D (Dual-Link) Female Digital Video - DisplayPort Male Digital Video - 7.87in - Black) to get 120hz for 2d gaming, that's all I want 120hz for. It not then going to have to return it.

it should work, although not mentioned that card should have display port 1.2 which supports 120hz. from that you just need a cable to your monitor that is also a 1.2 cable but ask OCUK to provide/advice on buying one if you didn't get one with the videocard

Thanks mate, asking in the graphics card section to see if anyone can expand further on this or better so are doing it.
