whats the reasoning behind gpu? out of curiousity

since I was hopinh for 2.5k res gaming

The 4gb of vRam will really help to that resolution especially if you are gaming over multiple monitors. The 780 is very expensive for what it is and personally wouldn't recommend it. I would certainly consider the 770 as it's more than capable and with 4gb, you can't go wrong.

I have much love for Snips build, it looks great and as said the 4GB will help with higher res gaming. :)

I also like idles spec but going SLI in that case wouldn't be ideal.. The cards will be back to back (well front) and heat will be an sisue, where in snips build they'll be an air gap.

I like the braided cables too. :)

Thats why mine is a halfway house ;) SLI GTX670's and a much bigger case, it also is completely red and black with all the braided cables ...... barring the fact that I have just noticed that I needed to include another 6 Pin & 8 Pin PCI-e cables ........ (hides in corner and hangs head in shame :()
