These past couple of weeks the car is struggling to start, I have to turn it over 3 times and hold the revs to 15000 to keep it going before I start my journey.
I did have a coolant leak a month back the water inlet valve snapped on the inlet manifold, after a week of fixing the water leak. I've check the throttle body no leakage no loose parts etc. Fuel filter strap snapped but that is cable tied up, spark plugs replaced, coilpack seems in good condition.

I haven't checked the fuel pump is working as normal yet and I am hoping it isn't as it costs up to £100 for a replacement. I am wondering if the idle valve/sensor is faulty.

Any other stuff I could check?

Oooo! A Gas turbine powered 106! I want one! ;) :D

On a more serious note. Does it run OK when warm?

Wow, that is some revs.. Is it an old F1 106 or something :D

Yes Orion has asked the next most necessary question already..
Once it's warm does it run OK then?

Hi, the car runs great never an issue once started. Yeah I did replace the spark plugs and changed the oil and filter also air filter not long ago.

Ps. Sorry I men't 1500.

It'll have to do with the fuelling, ignition or oxygen.

Check fuel pump, distributor cap, HT leads, spark plugs and oxygen sensors

I am now sure it cannot be a fuel pump issue as I been doing some long journeys lately and isn't a problem.

I will change the leads once I source them from my sisters company.

Hi all I know this is not relevant but I'm just wondering does anyone know how hard it would be to put a 106 gti engine in a 1.1??? Thanks

My guess is that you're 17/18, have a 1.1 Peugeot 106, but want a faster car so instead of looking at 106 GTIs which are probably £235,434 a year to insure, you are seeing if you can fit a 106 GTI engine to a 1.1.

We've all been there ;)

If my (rather sizeable) assumptions are correct, keep the 106 1.1, don't stuff it into anything, then in a year or two get something a bit quicker.

Your assumptions are half right lol I'm 19 and the thing is I'm ripping the 1.1 out as it has siezed figured if I'm putting a new one in might aswell make it a good one and posted on this one as I'm new to this forum stuff and don't know how create a new one

If you have the donor car with all the bits... go right ahead, other wise FORGET IT and go buy a Gti that isn't seized.

On another note, how the **** did you seize the 1.1!!!! That old lump of pig iron should run forever!
