im running one lightning at the moment... highly thinking of adding another one... or sell this one and buy one 780.

i only use 1080p screen, thou its 120hz....

i would appreciate any advice!

thanks.

GTX770 SLI will destroy a GTX780, even a golden sample GTX780 overclock will get nowhere close. Unless the game has poor SLI profiles or doesn't support SLI at all.

This is the thing with faster single GPU vs multi GPU. Multi GPU only works well in AAA games, the rest are hit and miss because neither Nvidia or AMD devote any real time getting non AAA games working for SLI.

If you only play AAA games and don't mind waiting on occasion for SLI to get a working profile, then go SLI. If you play games other than AAA (sims, RPG, RTS) then SLI could actually be a hindrance.

My GTX680s would not work in SLI properly for any of my flight or racing sims for example.

Most games I play work great. Only a very small hand full have issues. I think the pros out weigh the cons.

Retro, would you be able to run a couple of benchmarks on your 780 SLI setup and share the results with me?

Tomb Raider, 1080p, Ultimate preset + Tressfx +SSAAAx2
Sleeping Dogs, Extreme preset + Extreme SSAA + High res textures.

Cheers big ears.

I can,but it'll have to be later. Going out will do this afternoon if you like. My 770's are stock speed. So it'll be stock speeds. Anyways there's lots of 770 SLI benches online if you wanted to compare.

THanks Retro, stock is fine. I'd just like to compare to see how fast i need my cards to match your stock. I'd rather see your benches than a typical review site as they tend to disable stuff.

Will do. I was hoping Nv would release new drivers by now? I'm on 320.49. Don't want to update to the beta one because of issues, but maybe will try for bench. On mobile atm. Oh yeah do in need tomb raider installed or can I download the bench?

I'm afraid you'll need both games installed. Both are around 10gb.

Drop me a trust later with the benchmarks, thanks.
