AMD and Intel Increase Share of Graphics Market in Q2

This is a stupid thing to say and something you cannot prove, how do you know the price of every 680 on the market, besides the minor point of the forum rules not allowing competitor pricing to be discussed.

cheapest 7970 here £299
cheapest 680 here £275

You sir are wrong.

How is it wrong? I was 4 quid off? Pedantic ****

Also still doesn't make his point about them being better value for money as the AMD card performs better in most titles...

this is truly hilarious said:

cheapest 7970 here £299-Since MAY 2012
cheapest 680 here £275-Since August 2013

Retailers are selling them off to get rid of unsold stock, Nvidia and their partners obviously couldn't sell them as they were too expensive in the first place, now trying to price them in their true performance slot- just under the 7950/70's(at long last).:p

1p out of 2p is 50%, yeah I can make figures look massive too.

As I said, pedantic.

on reflection your right, my response was a bit pedantic, and for that I apologise, message to self, never respond to a forum post when you angry it will only go down hill from there.:)

Apology accepted, in fact my reply back was a little rash, sorry bru.

(no homo)

Having owned both for months at a time I'll take my opinion over some sponsored tech sites benchmarks every time thanks. At least you made an effort though.

Actually id go with Suarez on this over a review site. I remember having a few discussions with him when he was on the green side and he saw things differently. Then one day he saw the light, changed his name from ACEOWNER, (really what were you thinking dude? :p) bought a 7970 and immediately commented on extra fps and smoothness he got. I remember the battlefield 3 experience being much better for him with AMD.

He was pretty happy with his 680 at the time, so for him to have such a drastic change of opinion holds some weight id suggest.

For what any of that is worth, which is probably nothing, so ignore. :D

There has been 680s from 260 and 670s from 190 which are similar performers to the 7950 and 7970 depending on the game, but a fair bit cheaper at the moment with the deals going on.
Although I am still waiting for a decent 7970 deal!
I would imagine that the 600 series have been out selling the amds at the moment with these deals

I think it might change this quarter as all the 600 series are so much better value than AMD at the moment,
Where are all the AMD deals? All we keep getting is Nvidia!

Check out the new deals listed in it's own thread. Think you will eat your statement - but good for those that did not buy 600 series the past few weeks! :D
