Cat DNA Convicts Killer

Good Idea but I can see a flaw bear with me as this is a most unlikely event:

You yourself have a Constrictor snake(anaconda/boa/python etc..)/ a Poisonous pet(frog/spider etc..) that's not been defanged or otherwise. You get into an altercation with a neighbor words are exchanged and eventually a witness hears you say in an exasperated sense I'll bloody kill you.

A few days pass your pet escapes gets into the neighbors house and kills him police come pet & dead Neighbor are found, witness is questioned you're under arrest for premeditated murder.

Unlikely scenario to be sure but it's plausible

Does it work if I release a burmese cat to do the job?

But that is a completely different thing to what has happened here.

case above is a man that has clearly been murdered by a person.
pet DNA help sto identify the killer.
In your scenario it would be quite obvious that the death/murder was done by poison etc.

Yes but in my scenario it wasn't a deliberate act although form the police & witnesses perspective it is.

I understand that but it still has no relation whatsoever to the original post other than you scenario also involves a pet

I was just pointing out the System is flawed, if this was rolled out to pets other than cat's I could see the scenario happening and innocent people getting the blame for their pets escape and instinctual actions.

And cat's can kill say stairs are involved whether it be accidental or deliberate on the part of the cat I can't say only the cat would know, but say it was my cat(Not that I'd ever buy one of the evil things) that made it into said Neighbors after I'd had the altercation the cat trips him up as he's going up/down the stairs he breaks his neck in the fall and I get the blame because my cats DNA was found at his house!

IF you had a pet that could kill and IF you had a known grudge with someone and IF that pet escaped an enclosure designed to restrain a lethal pet and IF that pet happened to come across that person and kill them and IF the pet was found and traced back to you then yes, the suspicion might be that you deliberately released it with murder in mind. However:

1/ Thats a bloody unlikely set of events
2/ Its got nothing to do with this case - these events could already happen, the cat DNA story doesn't relate.

This couldn't possibly go wrong, could it. I mean, people never stroke their neighbours cats. And cats never walk over the neighours cars, or go sniffing around their gardens, so you'd only ever have a cats DNA on you if you'd been murdered by that cats owner.

It's water-tight.
