Hi all. looking to finally upgrade my ageing wharfdale 32inch ancient HDTV which was one of the first ever HDTV's out in the market for a brand new 38/40inch screen.

Specs i need:
  • 38 or 40inch size screen
  • DVI or VGA connection for PC
  • Minimum 2 HDMI connections
  • Scart or component connection(still using none HD sky)
  • Good IQ for movies and a bit of gaming(Mainly sports or racing games i will play, not FPS games)

Cheers all

There's a Panasonic TX-L42E6B on offer pretty much everywhere for £499 at the moment, and it's a fantastic TV.

You'll get probably equal numbers of either side of the fence. Personally I avoid Samsung wherever possible due to many previous issues with their support, and I've never had an issue with Panasonic.

This. (with a Caveat though) I'd go and see one on display working against its equivalent LG & Samsung models & let your eyes be the Judge. :)
