So a while back I had a thread where I had asked where I could find a reasonable courier to send a boiler and flue back as I ordered the wrong one. (Big mistake)
So the only place I could really find that was suitable online was TNT, it cost me £70 for the courier including insurance to cover the full value of £660.
The boxes weren't even opened, so it's how Baxi send out EVERY boiler/flue item when they are shipped.
So off it went, a few days later I received an e-mail saying that the flue had arrived damaged. Bare in mind the stainless steel part that connects to the boiler is bent.

After a lot of time wasting getting photos of the damage/packaging/how it looked when it left my house they've came back to me that due to not adding any extra internal packaging (Mainly bubblewrap) I am unable to submit a claim and it's just tough.
Why are couriers so incompetent? It was a 40kg package, the part that got damaged was made of stainless steel and it was in packaging that hadn't been touched so as the manufacturer delivers it. So some idiot has clearly dropped something very heavy on top of my package or tossed mine around in his van.
I've asked for at least a refund back on the insurance that I paid for but I can't see me getting anywhere with this. So I've lost basically the £30 or so I paid for the insurance and the £65 that the flue cost me.
Rant over!
