Is the 4770k worth it?

Ive only used ultra mate, and application wise, you take a tiny amount from the syringe, (not even rice grain for other pastes). Put it in the centre of the ihs, then spread it outwards with a small brush or a cotton bud. Basically it's like painting a very thin coat on the surface, thankfully im a painter so i know how to work with a tiny brush with this stuff.

When you say Painter, is that as in Decorator?
 
Yep, painter and decorator here mate. Fine work with tiny brushes is one of my best skills at work. Specialise in very fine line painting and decorative arts such as gilding, graining and stippling. But mainly my work is in domestic house painting and some industrial work in food factorys, no spraying in the latter.

Same here, 30+ years. Had a go at just about anything that could be painted.
Mainly shopfitting and banks since returning to the UK.
 
How's the 3770k performing now mate, iirc you got the vcore down, (as in sig). If you get a good one theyre briliant chip, unfortunately mine is an abomination lol.
 
It`s been running great. Been playing a few hours here and there on different games, no problems. If anything, the games seem to run a bit smother. Got the urge to try and get a bit more out of it. But 4.7Ghz runs at 1.34v and LLC is on extreme and I can`t seem to get the voltage any lower.
Just spent the last 4 hours reading various forum threads on delidding and the pastes to use. Also watched a vid on how to delid with a razor blade.
Just reading another one on how to install a waterblock to a naked die, sounds a bit risky.
 
Bit wary on delidding myself tbh mate. But id like to eek the most out of the cpu. Primarily a gamer. Bf3 at the moment, but waiting on bf4. game that will utilise multiple threads, especially with sli. But one of my 670's aint a great clocker, my other one is a blindingly good card. 1320mhz/7506mhz memory on stock volts and bios.
 
Just ran that 3DM11 basic and scored P28564 with my cards at stock settings. Can`t use Vantage, as it wont accept my key any more. Will OC later and see what improvement I get.

Well, I`m hoping the Campaign will be better than BF3 and a bit longer, otherwise I wont be getting it at release. I don`t play online, so wont pay much for a game that only lasts about 8 hours.
