Would you rather have £2m or 2m hours (228 years)?

An extra 228 years sounds horrible, you'd watch everyone around you die whilst you suffered for it. I'd rather have the monies.

When the only people who really love you and care to be around you are your parents and they have at most 30-40 yrs at the absolute peak left, its not an issue :D So i'll just amass things and keep myself happy for the duration, just might find some people who get along with me in 200yrs as well lol.

£2million please. Pay off mortgage, buy a new house and buy several city centre apartments to rent out. Sorted for life, just sit back and watch the money roll in.

Two houses and several city centre apartments for £2mill? I guess houses/apartments are pretty cheap in NI.

Yup, time please.

Presuming you are actually invincible for that amount of time??? That would be incredible.
Or the worst nightmare anyone who ever lived had to go through. 100+ years of torture for example from religions nuts thinking you made a pack with the devil. Then there are problems like getting trapped in a sink hole. Stuck underground in an accident or earthquake. 100+ years could very easy turn into a nightmare.

But you'd be dead in 2m hours so it would be no good then would it?

I mean I could make £2million within those 2m hours.

Plus, it's important to note that within 200 years, technological advances are suggesting life expectancy to vastly increase. It's possibly more of a question of; Would you like £2million now, or would you like to live forever? :p

Its not exactly London is it? £300k would buy me a very nice 4bedroom in a nice location. City apartments can be had for under £200k easily.

You guys really think the next 200 years is just going to be pretty much the same as it is now, but with cool technology advancements?

Like some kind of Back to the future II thing?

I would take the money as im 17. 2m would set me up for life really

Only just though. I'm 24 and I'm not convinced £2M would be enough for me. It would allow you to live a modest life I suppose, a nice enough house but you wouldn't be able to afford nice cars if you plan on eating and having electricity for the rest of your life. I think if I was ~40 £2M would certainly be enough to retire on (along with all your other retirement funds and things that you've accumulated over 20 years of working) and just enjoy life.

I'm 24 and I would take the 228 years without a shadow of doubt. Yes, loss would be hard but the pain dulls after a couple of months and you have 228 years.

There is so much great media to view (i.e. film/tv/books) that could fill several lifetimes. Not to mention all the places in the world that you would just have to visit at least once.

I'm kind of assuming a 228 years where it is somehow guaranteed you can't get any life debilitating injuries, I mean, it would be properly **** if you have to live 200 of your 228 years in a wheelchair. As for the money thing, well, 228 years gives you a very long time to find what it is that you're good at. If you think about it, anyone that is rich/famous (excusing those born into wealth) have done it because they've found their niche within their lifetime, they've found their talent. The majority of people spend their entire life without finding this niche/talent which is why not everyone is rich. With 228 years you would definitely be able to become good at something and get loads of money (if that's even your goal).

Also 228 years would be epic to see all the worlds advancements. Would anyone here be happy if you found out you died the day before the internet was invented or the day before GTAV was released?

Yes there is a lot of **** in teh world but that's true of everything, you just have to sort the wheat from teh chaff and it would be awesome.

I think it sucks ass that I'll probably be dead when I'm 70. 70 years, that's nothing, I've got books older than that.
