Hey guys,

I've spent the last 6 weeks literally drooling over gaming builds and now i'm finally able to order my dream custom gaming PC. :)

Not long checking before I decided buy from overclockers, its a no brainer, I'm spending £1500 odd, I'm not risking buying elsewhere.

I seem to be a little Over budget, I'm not necessarily into OC the build....yet, but want the ability to, still not 100% if I will just let OC build and stage 1 it for me....

I'd like a 2 monitor set up, I really want the BenQ 24'' 144hz and I have a 21'' Dell Ultrasharp already. Question is, Can I run them both off the GTX770 with a 750W PSU, is that OK?

And the big question is, Is the GTX770 a good card for the BenQ 144hz 24'' - Or visa versa?
Is this combination, which seems key to my build, made for each other? or will a GTX 670, 760 suffice and a GTX770 is OP?

...and AMD.... Oh god..I do wonder if i'm missing a trick sticking with Nvidia... the 7970 just seems ridiculously good.

OK, over to you guys, have I got everything, what would you change, cheaper mobo for better RAM?..

I'd get the 7970 on offer at £269 for certain. For the cost of the 770 you could almost get two 7950s.

The board's great. The RAM's fine - you could save a little on that by going with 2133MHz (though your RAM may not fit with that cooler).

I can't see one for that price, would interest me for sure if so.... Gah I see it. Thanks, the only problem is only 1 video outlet

They said they had loads of cards on the way due in this week, I think. They all say the 30th, but it'll be before then.

OK what is the deal with these refurb coolers, i just have panic thoughts of it going wrong... 90 days is not enough to give me peace of mind, I dont want things to go wrong ;p

A lot of users have had no issues and some have even arrived with 1 year warranty stickers on.

But the Matterhorn is a good cooler along with the Thermalright range.

2x7950 would beat any single GPU (even the Titan) in games that scale well. You'd be able to play just about every game released on max settings, and it'd make the most of a high refresh monitor. A single 7970 is a good idea if you want just one card, or might upgrade to another 7970 later.

Cheers EM, lol I didn't even realise, thanks yeah I think out of everything the monitor is what i'm 100% on.

Ahh, just when I was certain of what I wanted its crumbling to ruin with more shiny colourful items on offer, I will need further time to consider my options...

Great, what about games like BF3 and BF4, would the 2x7950 scale, I also play EVE and ummm... on occasions WoW, *cough* not for a while though.

Sure or get the 7970 and get another perhaps...

It'll scale well in all big games.

2x7970 or a 7990 - if you feel like splashing out ;)

the 7950 does scale alright in BF3 as far as I'm aware and also BF4 is optimized to work on AMD cards as the rumorer going round is that it will form part of the next "Never Settle" bundle .... you can also make some £££ back by selling on the codes that came with the extra card :)

All things considered I'm struggling to look beyond 2 x 7950's .... the scaling... the games bundles... the fact this is all for BF3, BF4. I can use both my screens.

they will last me 2-3 years, at least and I should be able to play at high settings for most games.... Or get just get 2 x 7970 and screw my budget LOL, I'm in GTX780 territory!

Guys..I did initially have a 1200 budget for this build, but for paying an extra 400 is well spent, that 400 will make such a huge difference in terms of upgrading all parts I feel
