Can't hear past 8000Hz !

Note that average headsets only go to 20KHz
I blame my dad taking me to work in his garage when I was young :p use of air compressor tools without ear defenders, etc!

This is not a medical thread

Liking the sarcastic ones :p

I remember doing the high-frequency tests at 16, and I was 1kHz below everyone else. 18 now, and still don't care. I'm more blind* than deaf.

*Venetian, if you're asking.

Age : 35.

Could here upto and including 17000hz. Although, I suspect headphones might have something to do with that.

25, and I can hear all of them except the last one (19000hz).

EDIT: Oh wait you cant hear the 19000 one anyone due to compression...

Wouldn't it depend on your soundcard , speakers , the quality of the audio file which on youtube is not going to be very high and an utterly pointless test?

lol 31 and I can hear up to 18,000Hz... The next sound up (19,000) says it was affected by Youtube compression, I could not hear it.

For info: Used Optical out to Astro mixamp and Astro A40s.

I could hear all of them very clearly on speakers (studio monitors) and headphones apart from the last one 19000hz. The video says under the descriptin that 19000 doesnt work due to youtubes compression so no one can hear it.

my soundcard is to **** I can only hear upto 15,000hz but I can't even hear that one unless I set my soundcard to 96khz all the other one just emit a wierd popping sound like my crap soundcard is trying to keel over and die

I've barely ever listened to loud music etc as well , not listened to stupidly loud headphones etc so my hearing is probably pretty good compared to a lot of people
