Which one would be better for gaming in 2560 x 1440 resolution? Considering driver issues etc.

The rest of the system would be 4770k/Z87X-OC/16gb Team Xtreem LV ram at 2400

7950's should trash a pair of 670's at the higher resolutions tbh.

Driver issues are what you want to make of them, the majority have only seen big improvements come from the latest beta (13.8).

Personally id go with the 7950 and the extra vram at resolutions of 1440p and above. We're so close to breaching the limit at this res and above its only a matter of time. Also battlefield 4 will definitely require more than 2gb of vram at this resolution with AA enabled.

Asus GTX670 get the 4gig edition.

I'm not sure thats worth the extra money tbh. £460 for the 4gb 670's compared to £380 for 7950's that come with 6 games to sell or keep (worth about £45). Seems a lot of extra money for equal or worse performance, assuming overclocking takes place.

GTX670 4gig is only £229.99

Not that impressive to be honest, an that's showing the 2gig 670.

Please don't use those charts.... They're a load of tosh and don't use new drivers for the cards....

The 7950's at the same clock speed as a 7970 are only 4-6% slower depending on the game....

And they overclocked like a boss....

Hard OCP compared an overclocked 7950 vs overclocked 670 vs overclocked 660ti.

The 7950 won...

7950 with much better memory specs, similar performance at stock, more OC overhead, cheaper, and with free games. I don't see how anyone can suggest the 670 given that unless they just won't buy anything else but nvidia.

7950 CF will have no trouble beating 670 SLI. Maybe you're not familiar with memory bandwidth? 4GB won't be any benefit really.
