Buying a car for scrap with private plate on it.

MOT car
TAX car
Apply to put registration on retention or straight onto another vehicle
Scrap the car (or break it for parts on ebay to recoup the cost of having to get it MOT worthy)
 
Seriously, how is this so complicated?

It doesn't need an MOT if it has a valid SORN and has been taxed at some point in the last 12 months.
 
Well it's pretty obvious you can "delete as appropriate" if it already has them.

Ahh... "SORN NOT DUE"

Well it's bloody well SORN'd then if the tax ran out in Jan 13.. and the link says that it's not due..
