Do you eat your food in layers?

Nah, but I do sometimes save the best 'til last. So if it's a lasagne, I'll have the side salad first then the lasagne. If it's a roast dinner, it'll be most veg first, then potatoes, then the meat, then the creamed leaks (best bit).

I tend to open the pasty sideways with my thumbs holding open the pastry and then lick in broad stokes up and down, left and right in a stirring motion.

like a mad dog? really gets the pasty going that :p

want some virgin olive oil with that pasty?

I have a friend that will do a similar thing, especially with a full English breakfast - beans, then eggs, then sausages etc.

Really quite strange, then again he is a bit of a strange fellow in general.

Okay along with the Sunday dinner thing, I'd probably do this too.

Yes, especially Angel cake.

I'll be certainly looking at 'owd Albert in bed 4 in a different light when he takes his dentures out to enjoy a custard cream slice tomorrow, that's for sure.. :o

It made you wiggle in your seat a little bit didn't Amy, you can admit it.

I do this quite often, I also always mix in curry and chilli into the rice.

Its not OCD though, just personal preference.

If a meal is made to be eaten together (curry, paella etc... - basically rice and pasta dishes) it all gets mixed in. If it's something where my plate is clearly meat, veg and carbs on the plate. Eat the veg first, then the carbs, then the meat.
