Think Utd will have to come up with 40 million for the pair if they are serious, but then if the joke that was the alleged 25 million bid for Fabregas is anything to go by I suspect they won't go up that high and will get nowt but the middle finger from Everton :p

Buy a world class creative midfielder moyes! You know thats what we need, the fans know that's what we need. Grrr

It isn't far off what I'd value the pair at, so it's not anywhere near as insulting or dramatic as people are making out.

Fellaini's release clause expired for one reason - because no one wanted to pay that much for him.

Eh... They're bidding for Fellaini less than what we (Moyes) paid for him when we was an unknown.

Just buy willian forget Baines and Fellaini they aren't available for the right price but wilian is just sign somebody

Depending on where you read willian is either a winger or a very advanced midfielder / 2nd striker, so for the latter Kagawa is already here, and as for wingers...surely Utd have enough lol

Think it's more of a case of every player we get linked to a day later spurs arrive...

like who else?

AVB has been interested in willian for far longer than liverpool. levy met with him or his agent in january. there's even a rumour he was a guest of AVB's at our new training ground.

Genuine question here, but how do people value players that their team are after?

My view is the player is surely worth what the selling team thinks that player brings to the club.

Without Bainess and Fellaini over the last 2 seasons, everton would not have finished as high up the table as they have done. So they've brought us a lot of revenue with regards to our finishing position.

We could probably sell Fellaini for 20-25m and get 2 good squad replacements, but the 10-15m being branded around here for Bainess just seem crazy imo.

He is tried and tested, and Evra defensively has a bit of a question mark over him.

But left back is literally (well maybe GK) the last position we need strengthening. We have 3 first team left backs on the books, one of them is the foundation of our attack. At no point in games that we lost last year would having Baines have helped. Spending circa 20m on a 28 year old left back would be ******* stupid. Unless he's planning on converting him to a midfielder.

Right back (no good backup for Rafael)
Centre back (Vidic and Rio both aging and injury prone)
Midfield (should be obvious)
Wings (Valencia and Young both poor, Nani future uncertain, Zaha unproven)
Striker (Rooney future uncertain, Welbeck consistency unknown)

What happens if Evra gets injured? Would you be happy relying on Buttner for a substantial part of the season? Is Evra being pushed to be the best he can, with only Buttner and Fabio behind him? And he's four years younger (or three and a half-ish).

That's what Buttner and Fabio are there for, if you can't trust your backups then why the **** did we buy them?

That's like saying De Gea might get injured, we better sign another world class keeper.

Moyes out

I'm already sick of him and his incompetence in the transfer window. I didn't think anyone could be worse than Fergie at buying a midfielder in recent years, but Moyes is looking like he could top it

liverpool would offer higher wages imo but i still think spurs would be willing to pay him £100k p/w. he is a fan of london so that works in our favour and he's pals with AVB.
