I have zero experience with AMD/ATI cards so i'll naturally recommend the 670.
Looking at this it's a pretty close call between them, don't think you can go far wrong with either

Ive jumped (this week) from a 7950 to GTX670 4gig card there's not much difference in most games, but they felt a lot more smoother with the 670.
You are contradicting yourself. Either the 670 was lot smoother or there was not much difference
Only teasing.
I found a similar experience going from a GTX680 to a single HD 7950. I needed to adjust the render ahead (or flip queue size in AMD cards) to 1, though that was with 13.2b drivers. To be honest I find the latest 13.8 betas have fixed that minor issue. Of course this was not a requirement for all games, just a select few.
Red or Green. Both excellent for 1080p gaming on one screen.
