8800GTX PSU question.

Hi. Have got an old system (Athlon X2 4800+, X1800XT) which won't play anything recent other than source engine games.

Got hold of a working 8800GTX but not sure how to work out if the PSU will run it ok. The PSU is this one:

The card has taken out two really cheap PSU's when running MSI Kombustor so the owner wanted rid instead of buying a decent PSU.

seasonic are a good brand so should last,dont run kombuster either its very stressfull on a gpu

just game as normal

Should be fine in source games. TF2 still ran fine on my old 8800GTX, albeit on a 520W psu.

OP said anything OTHER THAN source engine games

While the X1800XT would curtainly be a limitation beyond 1280 res, even if he got a faster graphic card, his Athlon X2 4800+ won't be handle recent games too well neither.
