They are!

You have to remember Samsung do a lot of work to ensure long term performance with specialist controllers / firmware, something I feel they have done better than any other brand. There are so many features on these drives that it is well worth while visiting Samsung and reading all the reviews because they have a superb feature set which is actually beneficial to all users.

Yeah, so have I. I was willing to wait for OCUK to have stock but they seem unwilling to comment when that may be.

Wow, Wish I had £500+ to spend a 1TB SSD, But since i'm not made of money the 120gb is a more appealing drive for me games

For anyone who is still getting the "failed to authenticate" or "not genuine" in Samsung Magician, don't panic - it's caused by Intel Rapid Storage Manager not passing something through. If you uninstall it, your Evo will show as genuine. Unfortunately, this will also disabled RAPID mode

Fix = download the latest Intel RST released on the 8th August - version 12.8.0.1016

Then you can be "genuine" and use Rapid mode ..
