Too many people skimp on PSU's when it comes to price. The PSU is just as important as a CPU or gfx card. I would never buy a cheap PSU. I'd rather pay a little more and have peace of mind, and cheaper energy bills

Wrong. A platinum PSU will save up to 25% + on your bill over a year when compared to a non rated PSU.

So you didn't look at anyone's suggestions? I would go with that 850w XFX or that Antec one.

The board will come with SATA cables, you wont need that Akasa one.

Have you read the reviews for mu PSU ?

They are excellent and match the Seasonic PSU's from the time.

I bought this PSU at OCUK after it was recommended by forum members.

The ones with the board are SATAIII compliant, there is zero performance gained by buying it.

Well that makes a total of three SATAIII cables (two with the board, one you are buying extra) for your three drives (DVD, SSD and HDD)

The only reason I can think to buy two more of those cables is so they all match and the 50cm length will make for a tidy cable management job in a really big case.

Just curious as everything I can find about it says it's very good. I'm happy to be proven wrong though.
