Today at GamesCom, in Cologne, Germany, NVIDIA and Activision announced a technical partnership that will see the PC edition of Call of Duty: Ghosts enhanced with NVIDIA technology and additional features, creating the definitive version of the highly anticipated title. Further details will be announced by Activision and Infinity Ward during GamesCom stage presentations at the NVIDIA stand in Hall 8. If you’re unable to attend in-person stay tuned to GeForce.com for all the details.

Last week, Executive Producer Mark Rubin announced that Call of Duty: Ghosts will be best on PC, telling Kotaku that the "PC [version] is taking a different tack from previous games [in the series]." Older versions of Call of Duty were built with the same graphics assets as the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions, he revealed. "Now, PC has its own set of assets. It's going to look better than any Call of Duty we've ever made on PC."

Concluding, Rubin added that the PC textures are "using an even higher [resolution] version in many cases than the next-gen consoles," laying the groundwork for other fidelity-enhancing effects and features. For more info on those stay tuned to GeForce.com.

lol COD is not even that popular on PC.

Is it going to enhance it to not be the same tired old regurgitated turd that CoD has been since the first Modern Warfare?

I strongly doubt it.

If that's a definite, then what's not to like???

Its good that they're moving away from that terrible COD engine though. I have to admit i never play COD games, but i do play Black Ops games (mainly for co-op zombie mode). I wonder if Treyarch will continue using the old engine, or if they will make use of this supposed new engine. One things for sure though, COD/Black Ops would have to improve massively to even be half the game Battlefield 4 is going to be.

If you want a definitive answer as to wither this is an amd forum, the past 10-12 posts answers that perfectly.

As for the partnership, its great news for me being a 780 owner. Cant wait to play the game.

You know its bad when half of those posts are Nvida users, hey Chop Suey? :D

The £40 price tag, 6 hour single player campaign, expensive dlc, the same tired gameplay.

If you buy this for single player then whats the point and as for money wise battlefield is just as bad for sapping cash with DLC i love the actual run and gun of COD and actually being able to hit what im aiming at ( i do not camp) i like battlefield but am hugely limited to what i play on it , because of vehicles you just cant kill endless chaffs and anti tank weapons that dont actually kill tanks,
end of the day i love anything that could make the games i like a lot better if what they plan works YAY if not ill hound them on the forums till they fix it LOL

At least in battlefield it's a huge battle. Not like COD where it's in a very small space and very arcadey. People camp much worse in COD. I wish COD would go away.
