one had a GTX660 2GB MSI card and the other had an EVGA GTX650 TI 1GB. Both used Corsair 8gb (2 x 4gb) DDR3.

There use to be an issue with 7850 cards with the board needing a BIOS update.

I just thought as the pixels would be the same quantity on both 24" and 27" they would have to scale the pixel number to the size of the screen.

I guess that's logical... But we all know logical isn't always correct in the PC domain.

Text gets smaller, the higher the res. I have a 24" at 1920x1080 native res, but have to have Google at 110% zoom so I can read it from a reasonable distance without straining my eyes or having to lean forward and being to close to the screen.

No what I'm saying is using the same resolution (1920x1080) on both 24" and 27".

Therefore as the 27" is bigger it would need to stretch 1920x1080 out to fit the screen.

Seeing as

"1) The text on the 27" is in fact a lot easier to read and looks perfectly sharp"

"2) Gaming is better. I can see everything more clearly as it's bigger"

reinforces my point on the 27" being better for his eyes ?
