Come into a bit of money yesterday so i'm thinking of getting a couple of these, anyone own one?? And can you comment on noise and performance? What clocks have you achieved?
Would wait for the lightning but the colours just wont go! And i'm not going to watercool them.

Peoples thoughts??

My thoughts on the 580 classified i had 6 months ago...Damn it was loud !!!

As much as i loved the card it had to go because of the noise, couldn't get a waterblock for it as they are very rare now, very power hungry, needed 2x8 pin and 1 6 pin to power it.

Not sure what a 780 is like but that was my 580 classified.

Thx, only seen one review on the card and it says its very quiet at stock which is where it will be 95% of the time, but having 2 will no doubt push the fans a bit higher. Rad for cpu is going in the roof, thus leaving 3 fans on the front of my 540 to drive the airflow in, hoping this helps.

^yep

In all honesty nick if they aren't going on water I'd save some cash and grab some of the msi gaming edition 780's. Some may get 13-1400mhz on air with the classifieds but I doubt they are sustainable 24/7, 1.35v generates a shed load of heat for these cards.

Oh and someone has figured out how to control the vrms on stock titan/780/690's, just needs a little perfection atm ;)

I know i said they would not be going under water, but i cant say never! :D you know how it is paul! Its like pringles, once you start.......

Yes sir ;)

If you can hold up at least wait a few weeks until amd show off the 9970 (late Sept for reveal I think). By that time vmods on ref cards should be perfected too giving you an even wider range of choice, as it should allow 1.325v on all titan/780/690's :)

So wait for the Lightnings and drown them :D

I can wait a week

But not a month!

Thinking about it, not sure i can get enough raddage in a 540, unless i mod the "psu side" panel with a grill. Dont want anything external.

Or can i??
Should be able to do-
240 x 35 top,
120 x 35 back
360 x 45 front, maybe 60mm?
240 x 35 bottom??

360 in the front would have to be slim.

I very nearly went for that case until I realised it wouldn't fit the radiators I wanted, now patiently waiting for the enthoo to release :)

Seen one build with a monsta in the front but i doubt you fit one with either the classy or ltg, and besides it wouldn't look right in this case.
