Its a true point, but Rockstar play games with the fas too, they know there are people out there who speculate and watch over every pixel of every screenshot, we alll know they put a lot in to make people think they know more than they know! :D

I can't wait, but those..

Some of the screenshots I saw dissected yesterday show just how much of the real area they are putting into their game. Very impressive.
 
Nice little look back at the previous GTAs with their maps shown after each one:

The maps in the earlier 3D GTAs are tiny compared to what we've got now, crazy really as they felt so spacious at the time.

Also, it's weird to look back on Vice City or SA from 10 years ago, and wonder what we'll have another 10 years from now.
 
awesome video of GTA, i never realised the jump forward that GTA 3 was as it was the first I played; played it at a friends without my parents knowing (wouldnt let me) as I was around 11/12 at the time.

GTA SA IMO the best although from what we've seen so far I'm expecting GTAV to be absolutely incredible.

Here's hoping, eh?
 
Excellent video. Giant leap in visuals at III and then a massive leap again in IV. Not sure why IV got so much hate as personally I thought it was brilliant. V looks like its going to be amazing too.
 
they have wanted it since GTA3, so it's been in the works a while as an idea at least.

they are finally just able to do what they want and it will only get better and better, I'm sure we will still see GTA 6,7,8,9 and so on but with Online it will always grow, so 5 (SA) is the start, then from there they will add new islands/continents that's my guess it was already hinted at for DLC that we would see older stuff brought back :)

Character create system sounds very interesting now... "hereditary-based creation system" never seen that in a game before R* showing up MMO creators already lol.

Dear god, stupid excited for GTA5

GTA Online introduces a new spin on traditional character creation with the hereditary-based creation system. Select your character’s appearance by choosing your parent’s heritage, then use the gene dominance meter to dial-in which parent your appearance favors more. Additionally, you'll customize your character's daily activities - everything from family time to illegal work and sports to couch potato hours all have an impact on your character’s appearance and skill set (and you can always rank up your skill stats more via gameplay).

Agree, it's there for people who want it (I'm one of them) but also not so over the top that it should effect anyone else.

R* are pretty good with DLC, at least for me I always felt like it was worth the money.

getting rather pathetic on GTAforums with all the map size is too small, graphics suck etc etc...
