Hey everyone, it's my first time using these forums and just hoping there is a few people out there that can give me some good advice and point me in the right direction for my new pc :).

First of all, I've had my pc for little over 2 and a half years now, i5 2500 gtx570 etc, pretty old kit. I was on a pretty tight budget and it was my first real gaming pc so I was happy with it at the time. With the upcoming release of Battlefield 4, I've been itching to get my hands on a new rig that will eat it's way through any of the recent and upcoming games for the next few years.

My first problem is that I would love the challenge of buying the components and assembling it myself, but after the ease of buying my current pc from ************, I'm torn as it whether it would be safer to order from them again? I would love to buy all the parts from overclockers as I have the choice of choosing brand specific parts. So in short, my first question is should I build the pc myself (my preferred option if it is not that difficult) or just order of ************ or a similar site?

Second question is cpu/gpu related. As much as I would like to say my budget is unlimited, it sadly, is not. I would like to keep it below £2200. So the choices are between the 3930k or 4770k. For gpu it's between the 780(evga classified, mainly due to overclocking potential and I'm quite anal about the aesthetics inside the case, as it's a lovely looking card) and the titan (evga superclock). I want a pc that will not need replacing for the next 2-3 years and will continue to run games on max settings (a lot to ask for I know).

Motherboard is another main factor As I want something fast and something that is quite overclockable also. That being said I'm not an enthusiast or anything but I would like to experiment with overclocking. The one I had in mind was the ASUS rampage IV extreme. Any review I have read about this board has been nothing but positive, not to mention great overclocking potential.

Other components would include 16gb hyper x beast 2400mhz ram, 120gb Kingston hyper x 3k ssd, standard 2tb hdd. Power supply would be the Seasonic 660w platinum 80 plus modular. People say they are the most reliable power supplies you can get, not to mention I would never dream of using a cheap power supply. As for wattage, It is all I need as for the moment I have no intention of going into a sli configuration.

The case will be the Corsair 600T white. Fell in love with this case the moment I seen it and has more than enough room to fit in all my components and leave plenty of space for good air circulation. WIll also be fitting a Corsair h100i to whichever cpu I end up getting and replacing the stock fans with the corsair air series. With regards to sleeved cables, I do not want to see any coloured cables, and everything will have to be neatly arranged. So any advice on that would be greatly appreciated too!

So I think I have mentioned all of my queries. I know a lot of people will probably look at my desired specs and say that I do not need this or that to play certain games/perform certain tasks etc. But it's in my nature to have the best things and when I have my mind set on something I work my ass off to get it :p. I know I'm asking a lot of questions here but This could potentially be my first build and I want to make sure I do it right :D

You haven't really asked that many questions...anyway..

Should you build it yourself? Absolutely and without a doubt. I've loved building mine over the years..taking the extra care to route cables properly, choose the components I want, and just the feeling of handling shiny new stuff :D Plus no-one will take better care of the build than you.

The kit you've chosen looks to be good. To be honest it's always about getting the best balance without spending for the sake of it.

The spec below has a very good clocking motherboard, a 780GTX and an i5. The i7 will be overkill if it's gaming performance you're after.

I'd spend a little more on the PSU, just in case you add to the build. Makes no sense to get one that's just enough. The 780GTX needs close to 550w to run at full chat (over-all system draw). The SSD is new and very good..if you wanted to spend a bit more then go bigger.

Thanks for the reply! I really do appreciate you taking the time to cut down the costs of my build. Forgot to mention that I intend on recording game footage, primarily Battlefield 4 when it's released, would the i5 be capable of capturing large amounts of footage at such high quality without affecting frame rates? Will more than likely stick with the Classified 780 as I just can't bring myself to like the look of any of the others, sounds stupid I know! By any chance would you know which sleeves etc I would have to buy to cover up the wires? Also upgraded the power supply!

Well if you can afford to get the i7 then it certainly won't make things worse. If the software can make use of the hyper-threading then it will help. As you're building to last a while get the best now.

By sleeves do you mean braiding? If so there's a handy guide here, or OCUK sell pre-braided cables here

I spec'd in the wrong GPU for you. The classified does look nice. The titan you were wondering about just isn't worth the money over the 780GTX :D

EDIT - Whoops, just noticed only 8gb of RAM too.

Either of these will do just as well

Yeah I would prefer to have the latest/most powerful kit so It will in turn last me longer. Yeah that's what I meant sorry! Managed to find a well talked about/high quality german site that does the full kit for 44 euro, supplies enough for all cables. The guide looks fantastic, although maybe a little complicated/risky to do. But it will be a fun challenge! Yeah I know what you mean! The titan is a fantastic card, but the reviews benchmarks are in such close comparison to that of the 780, it's not worth the extra :P. Yeah already had the 16gb hyper beast 16gb :). Just as a double check, everything here is compatible and will fit in the case ok?

What colour are you thinking for the cables? I think orange will look nice. :D

That RAM'll be good (the Beast) and all the components will fit.

I'd go with the 4770k too, if you can afford it why not. :)

That £2200 looks amazing, though the Cooler wont fit in the Case..

That 600T struggles to fit the H100i push/pull and the SR1 Rad alone is as tick as a stanard H100i (with one set of fan), which just fits..

If using a H100i, the fans need to go ontop (outside) the case with the rad on the underside.

This is due to the motherboard position and memory slots/Motherboard heatsinks getting in the way..

That's a shame. Would the 120mm version fit in the rear?

I made a slight alteration to the specs and added the maximum vi formula, Planning on a black and red themed interior :).. As for the h100i, what is the push/pull configuration?
