Hi,

First of all, I'd like to mention that I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to computer parts hence why I'm here. I hear you are the experts!

I'm looking for some advice regarding a small upgrade to my current system.

What I Have

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsuppor...portFAQ&prodSeriesId=5080749&prodTypeId=12454

As you can see, a pretty bog-standard PC.

What I Want

I want to be able to run Dota 2 on max settings with 60fps.

I'm looking to upgrade my computer for the cheapest amount possible that can enable me to do that as I am on a tight budget! :(

My current idea is to get this graphics card (or similar/ equivalent one) : http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-184-MS

I'm wondering whether this will be enough to achieve my goal? Or, would I require a new motherboard / power supply etc too ? I'm kinda clueless as to what my current set up is compatible with in terms of new hardware.

Budget wise- I'm looking to spend £150- £200 MAX if more than just a graphics card required. Ideally, I'm looking for components that will get the job done for the cheapest price and within budget if that is possible.

Regarding the upgrade- I'm not looking for a big upgrade. By that, I mean any changes to rig size and big hefty new processors. Reason being that, it'll most likely be out of budget and also if it required all of that just to run dota 2 max settings then I might as well save up and go all out on a top end unit that can run most of the new games high settings as well.

I look forward to your suggestions!

Cheers,

Usman

Please remove the competitors link, instead use the ocuk ones

As for changing the gpu would not be enough to reach that target
Get an i3, a new mobo and a 7770 or posibly a 7790

i3 3220
7770 ghz edition
mobo
Its £230 i know its a bit up, the best a can do

Ah sorry I didn't realise about the link! Link replaced with the OCUK one.

Hmm £230 isn't bad but its stretching the budget a bit. In terms of technically- can I get the graphics card you suggested on my current motherboard ? Or would it not be compatible?

Since the processor is 3.2GHz I think I could maybe get away with not getting the i3?
