What do you reckon?
Looks like it is outside the safe area and into the shoulder?

2nd one in 2 weeks too...

Hi this is what I do when I get a nail in a tyre...

Take out the nail with pliers, get some very good strong glue (the 2 part stuff you mix yourself), then get a short wood screw (but thicker then the nail) and spread the glue everywhere, in the hole and around it and then all over the screw, use a screw driver to tighten the screw it in hole. Pump the tyre up before the glue sets to make sure its sealed properly..job done

Everyone on here is now going to call me dodgy and a ***** but I did this on my M5 and it was fine even at 170 mph

Thats crazy!! :P

It might be worth pulling it out and seeing if it is a long one. I had one the other day but luckily it was only short and did not penetrate the inner of the tyre just the tread.

For some reason I cannot see the pic just a big white box ?

I had a thorn go through the same position on my tyre. I work in a garage so have access to all the equipment, so instead of plugging it, I cut the plug off the patch and just suck the patch on. It sealed nicely and has been perfectly fine.

You miht be lucky and find someone who will try and do it like that for you. If you were local I'd sort it for you :D

Is it worth the risk of a blow out at 70mph+ for the cost of a tyre, I would be annoyed but if not repairable just replace?

Is it front or rear?

It's ok to have a blow out on your own though, if you spin and hit another car killing the young family of 4 it's their fault, they haven't got an M5 or TWO houses.

It's the passenger side rear tyre.
They probably have about 6k on them at most.
I'm commiting to replacing it now anyway unless it is really short - not impossible as the tyre is still up.

As said though, not worth the risk of a blow out, and I do several miles dual carriageways to work.

Stuck the space saver on now so that will be fun in the morning, they look weird:p

Next car is NOT having 18" wheels and low profile tyres, whatever it is!
