Ahh but when you are walled in and in the precipice of an Israeli war machine every so often, having the ability to voice your feelings at all is a miracle.
not sure why he is given such a hard time on these forums...he talks more sense than most politicians.

Best to keep the entire region destabilised and looking inward, keep the Jewish punching bag right in the middle, and the more fighting back they do, the more aggressive building, the more expansion the better for us.

A broken Egypt doesn't help overly, but it is better since the guy that was good for us was removed 2 years ago. Libya destabilised, we hear little of it. Iraq a cesspool of sectarian violence, no doubt started by black op teams many years ago, and left to brew since.
No point in being critical of Israel or doing anything about it, to do so might only unite the region and that really isn't what the world wants.
We don't really want rid of Assad either. He was never an external threat, the problem now arise that he can't be controlled, we can't sell arms to him (Russians have that sown up) and we have to be seen to support 'democracy' else we might be seen as BSers on the world stage, which we basically are.
Probably because of his left-wing / Unions / socialist history and political stance , after-all this is a very right-wing conservative forum.
I doubt though that ANYONE here could even come close to winning an argument/debate against him especially if it's about the middle-east which he is extremely clued up on.
(He absolutely annihilated and embarressed the U.S senate a few years back)
Plus his the only person I've seen defeat Hitchins in a public debate and I've seen pretty much every 'Hitch Slap' their is out there

well no as the Americans said they used it as aggressive munitions in combination with high explosive shells in a mixture they called shake and bake that is devastatingly effective against entrenched enemies.
israel did no such thing.
just because America used it as a dangerous offensive weapon does not mean israel did, as for one they didn't mix hin high explosive and shrapnel rounds.
Also it's cute you cite Americas actions and international law in the same sentence is if one even remotely can be applied to the other.

they didn't use them as smoke munitions, they used them in densely populated civillian areas in gaza, which according to global conventions is ilegal. WP can be used directly agaisnt military targets or for incendiary or smoke purposes but not in areas of civilian dispersement or directly as an anti personnel weapon.
So droping a crap load of WP munitions in down town Gaza is considered to be a CW attack. This is pretty clear according to international law.
