Peter Molyneux Demoing Godus - PAX Live Now

Really looking forward to Godus, have to say i'm not keen on the art style but i'm sure it'll grow on me - given Populous was one of my favourite games i'm sure this one won't disappoint.

6 months seems like a bit of an excessive commitment for a 'God of Gods' role though, wouldn't you get tired of it/stop playing for a month or two?

I dunno, he said that you get royalties from the game? That would keep me interested :D
 
Dam I missed it, I only seen that preview on yogs and it looked ok, loved the black and white games of his and still play them till this day.

I wish Molyneux would stfu. He has great vision and enthusiasm but sometimes I just wish he would kinda keep a lid on it because more often than not he just ends up building up peoples expectations and then letting them down.

And I wish people would stop having a pop at him. Yes he can get a bit carried away at times, but I love his enthusiasm. I know he doesn't always quite manage to quite deliver on his promises, but I'd still rather he had that great vision than just playing it safe.

I've been following the development of this and based on everything I've seen I think he could actually deliver on his promises here.
 
Yeah, not really having a pop at him. Having payed for and played Fable 1 to 3 and followed his 'sales pitches' along the way I kinda know to take everything he says with a large spoonful of salt.
 
Ah fair enough, its just everywhere I read there are people who are. I understand it in a way, he's left us all a bit disappointed at times after building things up, but the way some people talk you'd think he'd murdered somebody or something.

He's always seemed a bit a of a snake oil salesman in my opinion. I've never really understood his cult following.
