Maybe his commuter flatted so he had to take the good bike? Maybe it was just serviced and he picked it up at lunch, or just bought it from a shop or used from a work colleague.

I wouldn't be too quick to draw conclusions.

I'm probably going to hell for this, but on my way home I saw a guy in workman's clothing and boots riding a Pinarello Dogma with Cosmic Carbones and I think Speedplay pedals.

I remember the article about the police pulling over that guy riding an expensive bike in "non-cycling" clothing and I can totally see why. Someone riding a Pinarello in toe-cap boots looks dodgy as ****. I gave him a long hard stare and he looked back at me with a guilty look. Should I have said something? I did consider taking my camera phone out but it was in my bag and the lights changed.

So that's where my Dogma got to!!

I'm sure there are many possible explanations, but there is no harm in being vigilant!

I think the biggest giveaway was that he wasn't wearing Team Sky kit like every other Pinarello-owning MAMIL.:D

Definitely dodgy!!!

Anyone else Doing the Essex 100 this weekend? I'm using it as a warmup for the Etape Cymru the following weekend

I will be doing the Essex 100 with my brother at the weekend, my first Sportive will be wearing AG2R jersey if you see me say hello, I'll be aiming for 6 hours, but depends on the speed of my brother.

I saw someone on a Team Sky coloured Pinatello, in full Team Sky kit the other day. I chuckled.

That jacket looks nice. My only concern is that it is black and therefore night time visibility of me may not be that good. Does look a great jacket for daytime winter riding though.

bear in mind it's not waterproof.

tbh I've been looking at getting something waterproof, while I didn't mind beind wet during my 3 mile commute, riding 10+ is not as appealing tbh.

If you get something waterproof then you'll just get wet from the humidity on the inside.

If you don't get too hot when you ride then event or goretex might be ok, but the only thing I've found that works was the Rapha Rain Jacket.

normally I'd say dry off at work but there's no changing rooms/lockers so no-where to store a towel etc.
pita tbh
