do you de-friend exes on facebook and other social media sites.

Spooky timing of this thread...

I've just accepted a friend request from a girl I used to work with about 14 years ago. We got along fantastically, ended up having sex, then soon afterwards disappeared from my life.

I sent a very brief message with the friend request along the lines of hope to hear from you soon, and not had any reply in two weeks.

Maybe I'm missing the point, but why bother wanting to add me as a friend If she had no intention of responding?

Gossip ammunition.

I do yes, no point in living in the past. Also bonus of not seeing sly bitchy comments that are obviously aimed at yourself.

Definitely one for the moving on with your life, being friends once you been with someone for years in a close intimate relationship just doesn't work. Then the Ex gets jealous and bugs you about future suitors.

Defriend them? No chance. How else are you going to furiously masturbate to their pictures whilst sobbing uncontrollably dressed in a onesie you stole from TK Max after that bitch dumped you?

When I split up from my girlfriend two years ago she had reset her relationship status back to single and defriended me in the space of 15mins upon leaving her flat. Ruthless.

Nope. Wish I do (did) now.

Always try to find reasons why I should un-friend over 2 years later, but I can't find any.

We never saw each other in real life in these 2 years. Only like twice at aparty, and we didn't speak. We only spoke once over facebook because I lost my phone and i needed her friends numbers :p

Priceless......

Was reading from last page back and saw this and thought 'oh well, so he miss read it'.

Ok, so I missed the word ex's in the title. Wow my posts seem strange now.....d'oh!

Then find this....

Yes, my cousin, because she was a serial facebook spammer. Couldn't cope seeing all her hundreds of posts each day so I got rid!

Think, what the hell!!!!!????? Then realise the context of the miss read post and that he hasn't done his cousin and ended up spraying tea over my keyboard.

Made my morning :)

The only thing that should be done for the benefit of your future partners is to un friend all of your exes i know i would not be happy if my partner had some exes on fb

Really it would bother you that much? I couldn't give a crap. I'm the one smashing the granny out of her.

"Maybe I'm missing the point, but why bother wanting to add me as a friend If she had no intention of responding?"
Maybe because she wants more friends on her friends list.

What exactly did you say "along the lines of hope to hear from you soon"?
are you sure you didn`t say something like "I cant wait to ramrod your p***y next week" ;]
It was worded exactly as the former statement, nothing that could be misinterpreted, there is no ulterior motive on my part: I'm happily married with two kids, and she appears to be too. Obviously I'm intrigued as to the reason/s for her just disappearing without a trace, but the facebook thing is odd: I would expect a teenager to just add people for the stats, it just seems odd for a 35 year old to do the same*.

* Disclaimer: at no point do I admit to knowing how a woman's mind works (who would!), just how I would expect a grown adult to act.
