Pretty creepy to hear this. Imagine being woken up by this. At first I thought it could have been a Moose or a large elk making the sound.

Can't watch the video at work but assuming it is the really bassy rumble / fog horn thing then yes they were apparently some viral campaign (cloverfield wasn't it?)
