How we've gone out and paid for half a Bale for Ozil I don't know.

DO people not remember Redknapp "getting" VDV because after spending loads Real went out begging someone to take him on the cheap. This is standard Real Madrid MO, overspend and push out the biggest wage earners who won't get games for a bargain.... and somehow Arsenal break this trend and smash their transfer record for a player who while loved by his fans, and very good, is still no where near worth 40mil.

80mil for Bale, a guy who turned up for many big games, is better than 40mil a lightweight player who disappears in every important game who has struggled to complete a full 90 mins more than a few times in the past 3 years.

Let's also once again remember that Ozil's only good position is the ONLY position we didnt' need anyone for currently and 40+ mil on 3 players providing first team or cover in positions we desparately need it would make so much more difference to Arsenal.

Are Arsenal fans taking bets which player we'll shove out of position for another central attacker to be pushed into the team? I'd love it if just one summer we went out and bought, a winger to play on the wing and a striker to play upfront.

Yep he is not even close to a £40 million player. I think Arsenal could spend the money a lot better tbh. They could use back up for Giroud as well what happens if he's injured?

Also it seems we need to pay €6m VAT on top of the €36m for Herrera, which is what's causing the hold up. :/
