ozil over suarez any day of the week!!

Seriously are Arsenal more in need of a 30 a goal a season striker or another creative midfielder/winger.

We really miss an RvP type clinical striker and I was hoping Higuain/Benzema would be the answer, creative side we are fine imo.

So i disagree 30 striker> Ozil imo

So Ozil cost RM £15m after a wonder World Cup and now he wants to leave RM and they dont want him he is worth £40m

Wtf!?

Bale was signed for around £12m and he won...worthless cup? And goes for £85m

That's the going price this window, it's crazy but that's how it is.

If it was the middle of the summer then maybe it would have been less but I doubt anything less than £35m would have got him.

i disagree with all this we need a 30 goal a season man

last season we banged in the goals scoring just 3 less than chelsea and scored 6 more than man city who have aguero

Who is this 30 goals a season striker you talk of that would be willing to play for arsenal?

I honestly think giroud will get close this season if he avoids injury. He's not clinical as rvp but he is strong in the air and does a good job.

we ended up paying closer to £7m

just watched his presentation as i missed it earlier and it's very surreal. the transfer dragged on for so long and watching it felt like he'd never played for spurs at all :(

I wonder if Lukaku missed that penalty on purpose to get himself shipped out again for the season? :D

The way he took that penalty, I honestly wouldn't be surprised. It was the penalty of a man who didn't seem to care.

I remember his penalty against Sunderland and he ran up and hammered it in like a beast, no problem. Of course, there was the added pressure of taking the deciding penalty in the Super Cup, but still...

To be honest if Lukaku gets shipped out on loan I'd be asking for a permanent move if I was him.

With the striker situation at Chelsea he should be getting a chance to do his thing, instead Jose is going to put his faith in a broken Torres, an old Eto'o and a frankly not quite up to scratch Ba.

Nuts!

Agreed... For me, Lukaku should be the go-to striker. He's young, powerful and can break through a defence. Notes of Drogba about him, which seems like exactly what Chelsea need in front of their talented midfield.

For me, Torres should be the one going. I'm sure he'd find a buyer for 20m or thereabouts. He's had chance after chance at Chelsea and has shown only the occasional flicker of his former talent. Elsewhere he might thrive, but it's time for him to leave Stamford bridge.

For me, Mata and Lukaku need to stay. Ba on loan seems reasonable, though perhaps not to Arsenal. Torres should be sold outright though, to whomever will pay. Just my 2p - I'm hardly in the position to question The Special One, but I'd like to see Mata and Lukaku getting more play time - they're really not players I want to be hearing about associated with transfers.

Apologies, are you a Chelsea fan (out of curiosity, can't work it out :p!)?

It'd be interesting to hear more of them on the Lukaku front, because surely as supports you have to be a little bit grumbled about the way he's being treated?

He was signed for a big fee and has even himself said how much of a dream of his it was to play for Chelsea and how he loves the club and wants to follow in the footsteps of Drogba in a way - yet he's not being given a chance and is being messed about/wasted really.

When there's a player with such talent sat around the club that also loves the club.

SSN reporting now that Lukaku is now on his way down to WBA to talk to them as he liked it there so much last season. Poor move from Chelsea.
