What an embarrassing, demoralizing shambles Moyes and Woodward have been.
They've had 3/4 months to sort out targets and put in bids, 3 of which included acquiring Fellaini at a fixed price cheaper than the one they look like paying.
Instead they've left it to the last 4 hours of the last day of the window, where Fellaini has had to hand in a transfer request to force a move, Herrera has had to accept a pay cut AND United are incapable of completing paper work they've had 3/4 months to investigate, and they've thrown in yet another nothing bid on Khedira. All on players you could argue are not of the quality you would expect for a club like United (for the fees being thrown around).
They'll all improve us no doubt, but for a combined fee (if all three were to materialize, which you assume Moyes/Woodward had also assumed, given the bids today) of over £70m you expect a worldy in there somewhere.
Not exactly a ringing endorsement for the season ahead.
