Need new card mostly for dota 2, maybe dragon age 3

My current card is a HD 4850 that I took from my old system and put it into my new. It ran dota 2 and battlefield 3 perfectly so I saw no reason to upgrade. The fan has now failed and it runs in excess of 100C causing my PC to shut down, so I think it's time for an upgrade!

I have no idea about the current best value or best cards. I pretty much only play dota2 at 1920x1200, but I'd like it to be decent enough to handle dragon age 3. I'm looking for something as cheap as possible but I guess my budget is about £100. I'd go higher if it's something unbelievable that I must have. What are my best options??

Yea stretch to that MSI 7850 2GB.

DO NOT go for the 7790 mentioned as above for the sake saving money...its performance is quite behind the 7850 2GB due to a) only got half the memory bus size (128-bit vs 256-bit), so the lower memory bandwidth frame rate drop much steeper when something that's more memory intensive occur i.e. Use of AA and high res texture and b) only having 1GB of vram, which is not enough for more modern games.

It's all to do with the sign up date when i signed up it was only 300 posts (i think) and six months..

The OP signed up before me, and im pretty sure at some point it was 100 posts..

So the question still stands..

PS: Why ask the mods? play by the rules mate, they are there to protect you/us from scammers.
 
Oh right, I asked about it and got told I wasnt allowed as they were strict about the post count. I thought I might stand a chance due to my sign up date and post count.

I meant why did you try and circumvent the rules that are in-place to keep us/you safe?

Anyway, Back to the point..

If the OP does have access there is a whole host of cards to pick from GTX 570/580/660(ti-maybe) or 6950/6970

Those may be within budget :D
