Nissan Almera Seat Belt Stuck Help !!!

Hey guys,

We're having a problem with a seat belt in the rear of my mother in laws Nissan Almera.

The seatbelt is out and through a childs car seat but you can not pull any slack from the reel so we can't get the seatbelt out of the seat because somebody make it go slightly tight.

So i'm wondering how i can get some slack from them reel ? we can't move the car seat anymore then we already have cos the size of it, i'm wondering if there is some kind of mechanism i can just put a screw driver in and release it ?

Sounds a stuck pendulum. Try dabbing the breaks a few times or parking facing up an incline maybe.

Undo one of the anchor points and retract it a little. If it doesn't unlock then it's knackered, cut it and replace.

If it's like my Primera, they have a locking mechanism on the rear seats specifically for child seats to lock them in place - if you pull the belt out all the way the ratchet wont release until you retract it all the way again.

Can't really help with releasing it, but at least you know it's working as intended
