Just Ordered an Asus GTX 670 4GB!

After deliberating for around a month and with this weeks deals ending this morning I finally ordered a graphics card, as some of you know I was thinking about getting an AMD HIS 7950 or Asus GTX 670 4GB.

Right until the last minutes before 9 am I wasn't sure which to get, this might surprise you and I think myself too but I went for the Asus GTX 670 4GB, very close call but I really didn't want to miss out on PhysX and with The Witcher 3 supporting GPU PhysX next year that edged it for me and some people mentioning the HIS 7950 coil whine.

It seems the GTX 670 ruins cooler and quieter another thing that swayed it for me and better in SLI if I go that route in the future, lets see if I regret my decision.

The only thing that would make you regret your decision is for the new amd cards to be exceptionally cheap. Chances of this happening .... not so much

Thanks Doomedspeed, it seems the deal is continuing until next Wednesday so I needn't of rushed but I didn't know and there is now a Zotac GTX 670 4GB this week only deal £10 cheaper than the Asus, really hope it isn't better than the Asus.

The cooler on the Asus is one of the best in the 670 range so you did very well sir.

Yeah welcome to the 670 club as doomed said.

670 is a smashing card. For £161 delivered it was a steel i reckon. Shame them ones arnt around anymore for others like but that asus one for about 200 wasn't bad either.

The only thing about these 600 series or better is that they offer TXAA but almost no bloomin game supports this and you cant force it. Which kinda is disappointing cos i wanted to try that in some of the games i play.

When you get it let us know what it boosts to when you run heaven or just the render test thing in gpuz. As curious as to how well them ones boost compare to the msi power edition non oc versions some of us got a few weeks back.

Thanks Doomedspeed and SkeeterUK, the deals have actually ended on the Asus GTX 670 and HIS 7950, must have just extended it for a hour or so.

Did some quick research on the Zotac GTX 670 and it sounds like an excellent card too which is slightly faster in some benchmarks but nothing you would really notice but it takes 3 slots up, just 2 for the Asus and the Asus cooler is quieter than the Zotac, it also has a higher failure rate so i'm glad I went for Asus as they are a very well known brand to me, not heard much about Zotac.

The plan is to buy a new system off ocuk or order all the parts off here and build it myself(have done many times in the past), once I have everything built I will run those benchmarks and let you know the results.
