Is it just me or has this gone massively donwhill since 2. The controls seem awful, cannot get the guy to do what I want half the time and the story line is soooooo dull. Doesnt fill me with much hope for 4.

2 was my last proper play on the series, 100% completion, i dabbled in brotherhood but didn5 stick with it

I started ac3 at the weekend and man that was an awful if not painfully slow start! Only just became the guy thats ment to become the main character and ive stopped for now i imahine it now picks up?

The horse controls are awful in the frontier, just clunky and unpredictable!

I think the engine is really showing its age, its why i wint buy ac4 on ps4 as i know it will just be more of the same issues, they need an overhaul

*editing in a positive as my post is 100%negative so far lol

I like the setting and the story is holding some promise! Oh another negative would be desmond. All his present day stuff and him as a character have never clicked with me, i rush those bits and wish they werent there

Having a go through it on PS+. Jury's still out for me as I've not really played much since AC1 (which I never completed). Story is the only thing keeping me going atm.

2 was the best one. I have to complete them all now though because I've invested so much time.

No idea what you mean about the controls, they've got better with each iteration IMO.

Personally I think it's better than the previous ones. The controls have been simplified in 3. I was struggling at first, but you soon get used to it. For example, instead of holding right trigger and A to free run, it's just right trigger now. Takes a bit of getting used to, but you'll get used to it soon.

It takes a good few hours to get properly in to the game and all the features (how lose wanted level etc), but it's a great game imo.

Well before I could hold RT to run and not worry about him trying to climb everything. Now the run button is free run/climb as well so Im trying to run along and find myself climbing a tree or summit:mad:

I got bored of it almost instantly and haven't had the will to go back to it. Never even made it as far as playing Connor? because I got so bored.

Played every one so far, didn't go crazy with the 100% etc but got as much completed as I was happy with. Started AC3 a week or so ago and around 27%. Story is definitely picking up and loving the slaughter house that is the forts (the combat is ridiculously easy which sorta ruins it) . The ship missions have also been fun even though there isn't nearly enough time on the water!!

Have to agree though the beginning was so slow and empty I did have my doubts on continuing but now I've got my teeth IMO it ill hammer it out until the end just to get the completed under my belt.

Ac2 a d brotherhood are by far the games in the series. The rest are boring and tedious. I wanted to like the last game but the main character is just so uninteresting and the story is also boring. Ezio was an awesome character in the first of 2 of his games, he had a good charisma. Shame they couldn't do the same with conner.

They have added quite a bit to 3 shame it doesn't "really" add anything...

Be interesting to see how 4 panns out, seems they are slowly removing the assassin part out of assassins creed...

1 and 2 were absolutely fantastic

All I really wanna do now is save up and buy Connor a casino so he truly feels at home!

Too much hand holding throughout, lack of actual free form assassinating, it was just a complete mess. That said, the best part of the game (naval missions) had nothing even to do with assassin stuff and was hugely enjoyable.

All the AC games prior to this were superb to play.

Im glad this wasnt just me, got it on launch day, forced through about 5 hours, think the last bit i did was learning to sail the ship? think ill keep it though incase i ever suffer from insomnia ill boot it up

39% ... Would like to finish it by the 17th as GTA V is going to a long term resident inside the drive tray from there on.
