I'm well paid (relatively) and the wife used to have a job that paid well enough. After a discussion we agreed for her to takeaway job working two hour a day. Much less stress for her.

Sure I pay for holidays and stuff now but she is my h happier and does all the housework and cooks for me. Much better than both of us working towards a d early grave.

Although there's only two choices here, there's so many other factors to take into consideration. E.g. the reason she's on a low wage, is it through lack of trying? Or is she genuinely motivated enough to make a decent living, but hasn't had her break yet? Does the other partner even care, so long as she's happy etc? Will it strain the relationship if one person brings home 80% of the total income? Does one partner feel prohibited due to the others wages?

I would take the pretty girl so long as we were both happy with the financial set up and did the things we both wanted to do, and wasn't totally constrained by finance because one was earning £40k and the other earning £10k.

Seriously dude no one has to be forever alone! Even complete mingers can get a decent (even fit) girl if they have a solid character!
